Dying with cancer too ill to have chemotherapy?

Hello,

My Son-in-law's mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. She is very weak and frail from not being able to keep any food or drink down

. She is due to start chemo on Monday. Would the hospital continue with this in her current state?

HI [@rehana27]‍, I'm not a doctor, but you're sadly correct in thinking that chemo can't be given if the patient is too weak and frail as it is also a toxic load. :( At the same time, people can get stronger and bounce back x
