Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer

Hi I'm Kerrie and I just need to talk to people.

My mum has been disagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and honestly I am a wreck because of the fact that I look after my mum and she looks after me and about 6 years ago my dad died from Cancer.

She hasn't exactly been told it's terminal yet and they are trying her on the chemo but I am still a wreck.

  • My Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had surgery to remove the rumour and most of his pancreas, he had a mild form of chemo and was given the all clear last year. 3 weeks ago we were given the news it is back and it is terminal, the doctor said that if he were to have chemo it would only give him an extra month and would leave him tired and in bed for the remainder of his life, My Dad has decide to not have treatment and I am supporting him with this. This week he has started to be in a lot of pain in his back and abdomen and has been given oral morph, he has vomited today, they have not given a time frame, so we do not know how long he has left. I am heartbroken, but want to help him and be there and to have some knowledge on what to expect

    thanks
