Video biography questions for terminally ill Mum...

I'm hoping to do a video biography with my Mum, like an interview, about her life.

When she's feeling up to it, as shes a bit sleepy with all the medication right now.

What sort of questions would you want to ask? My head is a little all over the place and I'm struggling to come up with good ones. I got the idea online to do this and it seems like a great way to remember someone.

It will also be good for my niece and nephew when they're older and perhaps even my own children if I have any one day.

I thought maybe also including messages to each person for them to watch when my Mum does pass. And maybe messages for important dates in their lives, like her grandchildren's 18th, if/when they get married etc.

Any thoughts, advice, ideas on questions or how you would do this would be most helpful. Maybe this message has even inspired you to do your own one?!

Thanks

Steve

  • That sounds like a wonderful idea Steve and I'm sure your nephew, niece and the rest of your family will really treasure these video memories of your mum.

Hopefully some of our members will offer their thoughts and ideas to you soon but maybe to begin with you could just let her talk and see where it leads? You may find once your mum starts talking the questions you're looking for will come naturally :)

Best wishes to you all at this difficult time.

  • Thanks Steph, that's a good idea.

It does seem when she speaks to people, the memories start flowing.

I've heard many stories these past few days which I never knew about.
