2 weeks left

hi everyone I’m new to this and writing out of desperation really.  My uncle has been given two weeks left, he had a tracky fitted back in October and while they was doing this they found cancer in his throat, first he was told on his own with no support and that he would not see past 2020, then he got moved to a different hospital and a surgeon told him he could have an operation to remove the cancer, which he opted for.

Anyway, during the op they saw that it has spread to part of his stomach and eusphigus which they partly removed during the op. Fast forward around two weeks later he’s been told that his stomach and inside are not healing and There’s nothing else they can do. So they moved him to a hospice while he was there the tube that wasn’t feeding him got blocked and  they have tried to fix this to carry on feeding him with no success and have given him two weeks. Has anyone ever had anything similar? Just feel like it’s gone from bad to worse with no luck at all.

  • Hello,

so sorry to hear of your news, its never easy at times like this, just make sure you are not facing this alone. It sounds that the surgeons have done their very best, but your uncles body would appear not to be responding. Its of little consolation at this point but all you are left with is to hope for the best whilst expecting the worst.

Use the time you have to spend special moments with your uncle as these will be treasures you will carry with you throughout your life

                                                                   my best wishes
