Firstly sorry to anyone reading this, this can’t be good for you if you’ve stumbled across my post.

My Mother in law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer almost 2 years ago and after surgery and chemo, she was amazingly given the all clear just over a year ago.

She has been generally unwell over the last few months and has now been told the cancer has returned and spread to her liver and stomach. The doctor says she’s just got weeks to live.

I can’t get my head around how this has been missed as she has been in hospital on a few occasions and apparently had cancer markers that were not followed up on.

I’ve not lost a parent so don’t know how is best to support my husband and family through this. Our Son is autistic and struggles massively with emotions so it will be hard on him also.

I really hope she makes it through Christmas!
