Dying with cancer Father in law

Have had news

X has water on his right lung and his pelvis. Also nodules under his diaphragm and his tumour markers are rising. Probably more tests

Following this we got:

I am sorry to say it is not good news we don't know how long there is left

This was after op for removal of stomach and esophagus in January as a 2nd Cancer

Just want a realistic time scale of life expectancy so I can prepare my hubby...

Welcome to the forum worried-daughter-in-law81 although I'm sorry for the news you were given about your father-in-law. It must be very difficult being in such limbo but if you can, try to take things a day at a time and make the most of each and every one.
Although no-one here can give you a time scale we do have a section on our website which I hope will help you to prepare for what may come.
Our cancer nurses are available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m if you'd like to talk things through with them as well.
