Help!!

Hello all,

im new to this and am wanting some advice and also would like to hear of others stories.

My mum was diagnosed with lung cancer about 3 years ago.  The cancer came back in June.  She was told it was Stage 4 Terminal Cancer & it has spread to her lymph nodes.  She was offered Imuno Therapy which she started the 1st week in August.

This was the one and only treatment my mum has had because since then she has steadily gone down hill.  She was admitted to hospital for a couple of weeks because she was being sick when she ate & couldn't keep anything down.  She was allowed home on Thursday but is still not eating & so thin & frail.  My dad is doing all he can & we as a family are pulling together but I'm worried that this is the beginning of the end but no one will answer my questions.

Thanks in advance

Lee

  • Have you gone down hospice route hospital is not the place to be .

I have looked after my husband and soulmate who also had lung cancer stage 4terminal right at the start Easter 2018.He had chemo then after s while emunatherapy this did not work and he lost his battle 2weekd ago .

He avoided hospital andwe both decided after I had looked after him alone for 18months hospice care was the way to go .

He was there 2weeks and they are very good they help the carer as well.as the patient .

I will never lose the love I feel for my Phill the person I also worked with we were a couple in every sense of the word .

But he died in.the way I would have wanted .

Try and get the care you need

  • Thank you so much for your reply.  I'm so sorry to hear about your husband, I wish you all the very best.
