Answers needed.

My dad was taken into Hosptial 9th June this year. He had clots in his leg & lung. He was in & out of hospital for 4 weeks after that. No one ever explained anything to us. On Mon 8th July he was taken back in. By this time we were wanting answers, as we weren't happy with the lack of care he was receiving & not knowing what was happening. So we asked for a meeting for someone to explain what was happening. That week, Wednesday 10th July, my mum, sister & I were told his secordary cancer had spread & they didn't know where the primary cancer was?!! CANCER? why had no one ever mentioned this to us up until that point?

My dad passed away Saturday 13th July.

Had my dad been told about his cancer & kept it from us? Is there any way that we can find this out? It's breaking mum not knowing, she needs some form of closure.

So my dad only suffered for 4 weeks but had he known before he became so unwell?

We aren't happy that the hospital kept sending him home, one time saying he was bloated because he was constipated? He then went back in 2 days later & had 8 litres of fluid drained from his stomach & passed away 5 days later.

Basically is there any way we can find out if he had been told about the cancer & had been keeping it from us?

Thanks.
