  • Hello shazpaul,

I am sorry to hear about your dad and that his cancer has spread to the lungs and lymph nodes. It's very nice of you to be concerned about your dad and to want some answers and advice on what the best course of action might be. Perhaps if your dad doesn't like asking questions, you might be able to go with him to the next appointment and ask his specialist what the benefits of chemotherapy treatment would be in his particular case. The specialist will be in the best position to give you the best advice on this.

Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm so don't hesitate to give them a ring if you feel like talking things through with them.

I hope you manage to reach the best treatment decision for your dad. Hopefully others who have been in a similar situation will be along shortly to share their experience with you.

    Best wishes,
