Trying to cope

Hi everyone my name is jess I'm 25 and I have 4 children but I am really struggling to cope. My nan who is 82 has been diagnosed with bladder and bowel cancer multiple tumours she found out about a month ago. There is nothing Drs can do for her as it is inoperable and she has refused chemo to try and help her she has lost a lot of weight over the past few weeks but I am really scared she is going to die within the next week or so she is not eating as she says she doesn't feel hungry anymore and she can barely walk she is falling asleep constantly she doesn't even get dressed anymore I'm just so scared and worried about her my nan is like my mum helped my dad raise me from 3 years old so I am very close to her and I don't know how to cope when she does leave this world I am also caring for her about 4 times a week doing everything for her as well as looking after my 4 very young children I am just lost really and I don't know what to do or say on top of that my dad might have testicular cancer as well and I feel stuck on how I am going to get through all of this and how do i help my nan the best I can thankyou for reading this x

  • Hi jess you're doing enough as it is do any more and you're going to be ill yourself, have you tried macmillan or Marie curie I think you have to go through someone medical to get them to come, remember they are trained to help, remember you have a family to look after as well. Best wishes.

  • Hi Jessnrick

So sorry to read your problem.

I have bladder cancer & mets.

    I refused chemo.

My best advice would be keep talking lots of hugs.

Talk about all the good things that have happend over the years.

Try not to worry about your dad
