We have some general information on our website about what to expect in the last few weeks and days but hopefully our lovely [@jules54]‍ will pop by when she can to share her experience as her husband sadly passed away from Mesothelioma in 2015.

As Moderator Steph has mentioned I lost my hubby a few years back to this cancer.  He also had the palliative chemo and this gave him a little while longer with the family.  The consultant at the time gave us no kind of timescale (terminal from diagnosis) but it was not easy watching the decline.  If your father in law is under palliative care then hopefully you will also be able to chat to his care team.  My hubby remained at home as was his wish and was on morphine orally which certainly kept his pain to a minimum but also both the chemo and medication meant he slept a great deal. 

If you wish to ask me any questions I will do my best to respond though, of course, each individual's journey with cancer can have different symptons.

Amazingly he passed away on Sunday, peacefully and surrounded by his loved ones.
I was just relieved that it was pain free.  Bless him.
