Hello Kevin,
I just wanted to welcome you to our forum and I hope you will meet others here who have experience of AML. Tell us a little bit more if you don't mind about your story and what brings you here.
We have some information on our website on AML here and should you wish to talk to one of our nurses or if you have any question about AML, feel free to give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Hi lucie
sorry not got back to you my wife was diagnosed with aml in may so we went to the hospital where she went into the aml 19 trials flag-Ida she had induction chemo and went into remission so went back for 1st consolidation which she started to suffer with bad headaches and was diagnosed with temporal arteritis since then she has had problems with her heart and liver which we understand going through extreme treatment which she sighed upto
my wife has not been well enough to go through a stem cell transplant due to bad headaches and sickness so she is not having any further treatment we know she will relapse anytime because she is mds raeb2 and goes to the hospital every 6 weeks what we don’t understand is that they would put her through further treatment but there is know percentages for the stem cell working or surviving the it
since deciding not to have any further treatment because of feeling unwell she feels that she has no where to turn or help
Regards
kevin
