Grandad has osophagus cancer spread to lymph nodes, was told October he stil had 12 months left... he’s been in hospital 2 week on antibiotics as his bowel has preferred and he had pneumonia. He chose to come home as the doc said he would only last a day or 2?? And would probably die from sepsis because of the perforation... however He’s still here 10 days later... very confused and very mixed signals. District nurses are telling us the end is very near, morphine and glycopro (to dry sercrisions in his throat) in a driver and however we think different... Are we just indenile that grandad is dying ? Hallucinations started today. We asked nurse can it be the morphine and we was told no because the hallucinating would have started 10 days ago when the morphine first started... having good days where he’s talkative, watching tv, laughing ect, and days where he just sleeps all day long...any advice ?
