tumor and obstructive hydrocephalus

Hi

I am desperately trying to find someone who can help save my mum / extend her life.

She had colorectal cancer two years ago. It’s has returned aggressively. She was in hospital for 5 weeks where they found she has a brain tumour, lepto meninges disease and an obstructive hydrocephalus.

Surgery was possible at one stage but then mum developed sepsis and a bowl obstruction. (Both now resolved) but this lead to her becoming very weak. She is now in a hospice and the hospital cannot offer any treatment.

She has lost lost so much weight and is bedbound. Nut mentally, we know she’s strong and a fighter.

Has anyone had any experience of this? Can anyone offer any advice. Willing to try anything to prevent mum from deteriorating further. We want to make her strong again so she can have treatment.

Thank you for reading.

  • Hi there ...

So sorry I have no mirical treatments to offer ... or we'd all be on them ... if your mum has been given this diagnosis, they don't do it lightly ... I'm sure they've tried what they have ..

I have cancer too, and I know there's a time to fight... and a time to make the most of every day you have ..  would you really want her going through more treatments .. or keep as well as possible for as long as possible ... the treatment she needs now, is a hand to hold.. and lots of hugs ... you know admitting your all scared brings you together .. tell each other all that's in your hearts ... even though some may be hard to hear ... make memories every day you have ... talk about her childhood .. dating your dad ... the day she had you ...

My mum left with no warning .. she had a massive heart attack one Monday afternoon... I never got to tell her how amazing I thought she was ... just one hug , I'd have given anything ... you have that time I didn't ... I was only 36... she wasn't only my mum but my best buddy too ...

I'm sending you a big vertual hug ... hold on in there ... Chrissie
