  • Hello Jassyanne. I am so sorry to read of your partner's diagnosis. Your distress at the thought of losing him is very understandable and normal. I lost my husband in 2016 to lung cancer with spread to adrenal glands and invasion to the chest wall and pulmonary artery. He was only 61, we had been together for 40 years and married for 36 and I can't deny that life for me now is b****dy hard but memories keep me going. As your partner is having his biopsy on Thursday please just try to think that at least after the results you will know what you have to deal with. What type of lung cancer he has and what stage will all be determined after the biopsy and you will learn what treatment he might have and you should write down any questions as it is too easy to forget when you are already dealing with this awful situation. I send you such good luck and caring thoughts. Lynne.
  • @littleone58, I'm so sorry to read of your husband's passing but it sounded all too familiar. On February 21, 2017 my family and I learned that my dad had stage 4 non small cell lung cancer after doctors discovered a 7cm tumor in his right lung. Similar to your husband, the lung cancer had spread to the adrenal gland, chest wall and liver. We suspect it had also spread to his pineal gland (in brain) due to a tiny tumor found near the end of his life which caused two unexplained seizures which dad NEVER had a history of. He wasn't a smoker which was more puzzling however the doctor explained that anyone with lungs can develop lung cancer, unfortunately. My dad was a month shy of his 79th birthday. He had spent the last 60 years with my mom (who shared the same birthday). Dad passed on July 1, 2017. From diagnosis to death was only 17 weeks. Fortunately, he didn't suffer much at the end. After having read other people's stories, I realize that it could've been worse. I pray for all families who have to deal with evil cancer.
