I'm sorry to hear that your dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer this past Friday and is feeling so poorly, what a difficult situation this must be for you. Surely the fact that he's making up excuses in order to prevent you from visiting doesn't make things easier, does it?

You did the right thing by coming to us, as this forum is a great place to learn from others who have walked in our shoes, so with this in mind I hope some of our members who have been through a similar experienced with their loved ones affected by cancer will be along shortly to share their stories with you and give advice.

Hi there, 

i kinda know how u feel, my dad has a blood cancer and amyloidosis he hasn’t been given weeks to live but has and continues to deteriorate and is not letting anyone really see him. I’m not sure if it’s a denial thing or not if by seeing others reactions to him he is forced to face it I don’t know but it is heartbreaking when we just want to spend time with them.
