My friend of 40 years is dying from esophageal cancer.I am trying to support my friends wife as much as I can but its hard to watch someone who has been the life and soul of everything he did suffer in this way. He has just been told the the cancer has spread to his mouth, they both know I am here if they need me and his wife and I talk on the phone every day.I feel totaly useless, he can still talk and we laugh about all of our holiday adventures over the last 40 years.
