Pancreatic cancer

My friends mum has inoperable cancer. She is having chemo . But we are all thi k8ng the worst ie. She doesnt have long. Does chemo really offer more time or is it kinder not to have it as it makes a already very poorly fragile lady even worst. How much longer would it give her. On average. My friend is in bits as are we all. Ia there any help she can get. Looking for answers, hoping for miracles. Thanks

  • Welcome to the forum Willow although I'm sorry to hear about your friend's mum's diagnosis.

I know you have questions about how chemo can help this type of cancer so I have included some information we have about this on our website here if you want to have a look. Our cancer nurses may be able to give you some insight in to this as well so if you would like to chat to them you can call them next week on 0808 800 4040. This number is free to call from a UK landline and they are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

You can pass this number on to your friend too if she needs someone to talk to.

    Best wishes to you all,
