On April 3rd my dad was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer that had already spread to his lymph nodes, we were told there was nothing they could do and he had months to live. Two weeks later he was rushed into hospital with an infection and they called us in to tell us he wouldn't survive the day, he is still with us but has now been in a hospice for three weeks and they have said that's where he will stay until he dies. He has lost 7kg in the three weeks in has been in there and on a few occasions his arms and hands have been freezing to touch which I have read is a symptom that occurs close to death, is this right? He doesn't eat much but talks to us well although sometimes can get confused. He is extremely pale. I hate not knowing how long he has left to live, I worry I won't be there. It's so heartbreaking.
