My mom was diagnosed w stage four cervical cancer.    She's had a catscan and her lymph nodes in both legs have been blocked,,,one kidney has become compromised w cancer and one has been retaining a urine blockage,,,she is going in to see if a stent can be placed and drain some off,,,,,can anyone please give me an idea of how much time is left,,,,I can't bare the pain to discuss this w my mom,,

    Welcome to our forum although I’m so sorry to hear your mom was diagnosed with stage four cervical cancer.

    I’m sure many of our members here on Cancer Chat who have been in similar positions with their loved ones will understand how you are feeling right now so hopefully, they will post soon to offer support and share their experiences with you.

    Hi Thirdchild.

    I'm sorry to hear about your mum, cervical cancer is a dreadful disease with awful side effects. I was diagnosed stage 1b1 in 2013 and had a recurrence in 2015 which was causing problems with one kidney and painful sciatica, it also affected movement in my right leg and I haven't been able to drive for 2 years now. I can't really answer you questions but just wanted to reach out and let you know that you are not alone. Have your mum's doctors discussed any treatment options, chemo or radiotherapy? And can I ask whether you live in the UK?

    I too have terminal cervical cancer I have internal stents and nephrostomy both sides I do feel for you and your mum I'm 54 yrs am on the last lot of chemo now weekly trying to slow progress down. if you do want to talk will reply love brig x
