Hi Debbie, my husband has duodenal cancer. Told in February he had a couple of months left if he didn't have chemo but no timescale given with chemo. Started chemo at end of February but had adverse reaction- in hospital for three nights and has been taken off it. We're seeing oncology team this week but don't know what to expect.
its so difficult dealing with this but just trying to stay as positive and cheerful as possible.
Hope you're coping, too x

Hi Debbie,
my husband has lost almost 3 stone, too. He's on second cycle of chemo on a reduced dose but he's feeling miserable. He spends a lot of time in bed.
So sorry to hear of your father, too. That's awful for you.
Thinking of you, this is so hard to deal with .
Hi Debbie, sorry to hear about ur husband. my sister was given a year tops but her tumour is shrinking God knows how so don't lose hope. It ain't over until it's over. Sending you both virtual hugs xx Sandy
Hi Debbie,
how are things with you? My husband was hospitalised this week with sepsis- so off chemo again. He's just not getting on well or coping with chemo.
We see oncologist on Wednesday and are going to discuss whether to continue chemo, with all the adverse effects, or come off it and take our chances!! It's not a conversation we want to have.
Hope you are managing to face each new day xx
were in the same boat ,colin had blood transfusion yesterday so hope he picks up ,we see oncolgy dog wed too hoping for good news xxx
Good luck to us both for tomorrow!!!!
How did you get on Debbie? Hope the news was encouraging for Colin.
my husband, John, started third cycle of chemo on Friday after oncologist persuaded us it was the best way forward.
We're expecting a date for a scan shortly to see what effect chemo's having.
John's on day 4 now and doing well- but keeping fingers and toes crossed that this continues.
Wishing you well x
