Hello, I would like to thank all of you who took the trouble of reply to my post , the comments were very much appreciated. Jonathans funeral was yesterday. He had made the arrangement in advance so that his wife Faye would not have that to deal with. He had a humanist service in the village hall, it was the same man that married them nine months ago. His wife Faye spoke as did his two sisters. His best friend, and best man told tales of some of the things that Jonathan had got up to. He had a very inquisitive mind and earned the name of the Professor from his friends. As Andy said it was a suprise that Jonathan had actually survived till 35. He had a penchant for blowing things up, he loved chopping down trees, we live out in the country with a little bit of land had a lot of trees, till as a teenager he purchased a chain saw, many of the trees disappeared as apparently they were *diseased*! He had recently bought himself a John Deere tractor, so his coffin had a complete wrap of a John Deere tractor country scene wrap, which caused a lot of comment. After the very personal service he was taken outside and put in the trailer behind his tractor and his brother in law started the slow journey to the cemetery which was ten miles away, the cortege took 40 minutes to get there, the mile long queue of cars following was a sight to behold. The sun came out as he was laid to rest and we retraced our route somewhat faster for the funeral tea. There was over 250 people there and everyone had their own special memories. It was as one of his friends said if Carlsberg did funerals thats how it would be (there was no alcohol present). Lots of tears and laughter, So we now start the process of accepting, believing that this is actually real, he is not going to come in the kitchen and ask if I was expecting him and Faye for dinner. That all the special knowledge and ability to turn his hand to mending anything. I wish you all well in your dealings with this evil disease and thank you all once again for your kind commentsxxxxx
