I don't want Mum to suffer, Heartbroken

hi we received the deverstating news last night that at the medical meeting my mum had the cancer in her thoat gullet and slightly above her kidney and near her pancreus , my mum is 85 and now weighes 4 stone 10 ,and been in hospital 5 weeks . she could not even swollow her tablets yesterday , and is sick after solid food , they are surgesting a stent , whixh if she doent have she may last 3 month and will basicly starve to death , or if she has this stent it may give her a extra 3 months , i know it has to be mums desision , but i dont want her to suffer with either , i live 120 miles away and am trying to juggle work , visiting mum  and my home and finances , i really dont want her to die like this , im so scared

    I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum's diagnosis. I'm sure that it is a very difficult time for you all whilst Mum decides if she wants to go ahead with the surgery.

    As you are so far away from the hospital I wondered if you might ind it helpful to talk to one of our team of nurses about things. They'll be able to offer a supportive ear and maybe answer some of the questions you have about Mum's situation.
