Clinical trials

I was diagnosed with NHL (large diffuse b-cell lymphoma) in June 2015. After 4 types of chemotherapy, all not working for me I had my first clinical trial. It was going well for 8 weeks but then I got an infection and had to stop trial. Over this summer the cancer has spread and become very aggressive.  I have just started a new trial and I think this is my last chance. I really hope it works as I am not ready to leave my children although I have accepted this may well happen before the end of the year should I not respond to this trial.

  • Welcome to our friendly forum JoB!

I am sorry to hear you have had to stop the trial due to an infection and that the cancer has sadly spread and become aggressive. I just wanted to wish you the best of luck for this new trial, fingers crossed it works well for you! Let us know how this trial goes for you - we'll be thinking of you.

I hope you will also meet some of our members who may also be trying a new clinical trial at the moment as it can be interesting sometimes to compare experiences.

We hope all goes well for you and keep us updated if you get a chance.

    Best wishes,
