Hi there, I'm sorry to see your mum is suffering from lung cancer. This is just my experience and there will be others with different experiences. The first we knew my dad was not right was in September, about the middle of the month. He went to the doctors at the beginning of October and was admitted the next day, he had a stay for just over a week in hospital, diagnosed the week after on 21st October and died suddenly on 24th October. I'd asked the consultant about prognosis of the time left due to my sister living in Australia and was told 8 months is average!  After lots of research of cancer, I've realised my dad was showing signs of the late stages of lung cancer.  If your mum has pain in her legs it might be worth getting checked for blood clots as lung cancer plays havoc with the blood. I would ask your Aunt to come back if that is her wish. Take care x

Thanks for the replies.

Today my mam passed away.

I ended up calling an ambulance on Sunday night and brought her to the hospital.

Yesterday morning she seemed to have improved, but then after lunch time up until last night she was out of it.

She went peacefully and was in comfortable state. Im glad I got the ambulance as if she passed away at home, im not sure exactly what I would have done on my own and it would have been more painful for her I'd imagine.
