Terminal cancer

I was diagnosed with cancer in January and told it was terminal 12 months.

my terminal illness policy with Arriva paid out no problem I have medication which keeps pain, nausea under control.

Six months in and today I feel surprisingly strong and looking forward to leaving the house.

My question is , is it usual to have these surprisingly strong days?

I expect I am asking the impossible and sincerely hope that I do do not upset anyone.

Kind regards

Mike

Welcome to the forum although we're sorry for the reason it has brought you here.

We're really sorry to hear that your cancer is terminal but it's great to hear that six months in you are feeling strong and enjoying life.

Unfortunately I can't answer that question but many of our members are in similar positions be it themselves or with loved ones and I'm sure they'll reply soon and share their support and experiences with you.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Hi Mike,

I'm the same after having and successful treatment for colorectal cancer last year I was told a few weeks ago that it had spread to lymph nodes, chest cavity and a bit on right lung, I have never felt as well as I do for the past year, strange but enjoying life at the moment, and have decided to go with the flow, I be been given steroids to take daily until chemo treatment due to start July, looking forward to a holiday in a couple of weeks time

keep well and enjoy your good days
