Hello,
My name is Emma. My nan was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2014 recieved treatment for it however the treatment failed and it did begin to spread to her spine. She had radiotherapy for this but it left her in so much pain but it did slightly work. We then got news at the begining of this year that it has now spread to her brain in two small parts but my nana decided to not take the radiotherapy route which was oiffered to her due to the ammount of pain she was in to the previous treatment. She is now just on steroids and they are being reduced gradually.
I am still finding it hard coming to terms with this, knowing that she will not be around to see my future. She has also now started to say how she is sad to be leaving us and that she is scared of death. These are questions i cannot answer for her as i dont know them myself. How can i get her to cope?. how can we as afamily cop with this news knowing what is coming?
She is finding it hard to get out of bed even with help and is tired all the time, its hard to make memories and for her to have fun when she is stuck in one room or is tired all the time...
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance - Emma
