My dad has terminal cancer

I just found out today that my father has terminal cancer on the lung in its worse stages and bowel cancer. I have been disconnected with him for several years, although recently I have thought about talking to him again. This news really hit me and made me realise that I should contact him, I am unsure how though and I was wondering if anyone here has any advice.

    Sorry about your dad.

    I hope someone who has been in a similar position sees your post and offers you some advice on how best to handle this situation.

    Is there someone you know who is visiting your dad who could ask him if you could go and see him?

    I'm sure your dad will be happy to see you, it's all water under the bridge now. Make memories while you can, my dad has also been diagnosed with terminal cancer . Even though we have always been close , he needs his family round him for support .

     

    Let bigones be bigones , go see him.
