Hi Jessa, I see no one has responded to your post as yet, so thought I would drop you a line to let you know that it is being read. Welcome to the forum, but so sorry for why you are here. I'm not familiar with your type of cancer, but I'm sure there are others on here who might me. Another resource for you would be to contact the nurses, either at the phone number at the bottom of this page during regular business hours, or you can post a question in the category "Ask the Nurses".
By me posting this response, it will bump your post to the first page again where hopefully, someone else will pick it up and respond. Come back to the forum and let us know how you are managing and to get some support for yourself.
Sending you hugs.
Lorraine
Hi Jessa, My husband was diagnosed August of last year with pancreatic cancer. The tumor was on the head of the pancreas. It was under 3cm, I believe it was 2.5cm so he was able to have the whipple surgery. It had spread to 3 of 14 lymph nodes. He was accepted into a trial for those that were able to have surgery. The chemotherapy was 5-FU florfirinox apparently it was helpful for those that could not have surgery. He was only able to do 4 treatments. It was too much for him because he had the head of the pancreas, part of his stomach , gall bladder and small intestine removed during the surgery. The cancer came back rapidly and he passed away this past August. So I was fortunate to have had a year with him. I am not sure by your post if you are a caregiver or not but in any case I wish you the best.
