  • Hi Dawn, welcome to the forum, but sorry for the reason you're here. I'm so sorry you have this terrible disease. Getting a cancer diagnosis is bad enough, but then almost in the same breath to be told that it is terminal must have been devastating for you. It sounds like you are in shock, so not much wonder you don't know how to talk about it. You're really young to have cancer so serious. Have you told your partner and kids? Its' quite possible none of you know what to say at this stage. You don't say when you received the news, and/or whether you will be having any treatment. I would suggest that you get in touch with your family doctor, or your treatment team and ask for some help in dealing with the emotional issues surrounding your diagnosis. I'm sure all of us were in shock at first diagnosis and it takes time to come to terms with what's happening. I hope you can get some help with this now.

Come on to the forum any time and just rant, cry, or do whatever you need to do. All of us on here know how you feel. We can offer virtual support and you will find people on here very caring and supportive as you take this journey with cancer. All of us on here are either struggling with cancer, or supporting a loved one with it.

    Sending you hugs.
