Hi Tonim, I just read this latest post of yours and I'm so pleased you will have this surgery. I have had two major lung surgeries in the last 2 and a half years with the last one Dec./14  I'm not doing too bad right now in that direction and I'll take all the good days I can. I can't even imagine why you weren't offered that option when first diagnosed. Perhaps the reason being that the location of your tumor was a problem and they needed to find out more about it. The surgery is huge, but I'm a lot older than you and I survived two of them, so I'm sure you'll do just fine. Keep us up to date on how things go for you and let us know your dates when you get them.

Toni ..... mixed emotions for sure but I think you have made good decisions so far and have trusted your intuitions.  If I hadn't been like you, I would have been gone several years ago and missed precious times. I guess we all follow the paths that are right for us as individuals - none of us wrong or right - just coping as best we can with what has been put our way.   Will be with you every step of the way and wish you all the very best for your op. I have liver surgery (nanoknife) for the second time soon. Like to try and keep up with the little blighters lol!  Speak soon x

Hi Tonin, I was so pleased for you when I read your post with a confirmed date for your surgery. As Max said, we need to be an informed party to what happens in our treatment, and if they don't make us a party to it, then we force the issue, one way or another. I'll be thinking about you this coming weekend and wishing you all the best. Now, try and relax for the rest of the week, so you're in great shape coming Monday.
