My mum has stage 3 Cancer

My mum was keeping her illness from me as she was protecting me .

She told me she had a tumour but it was benign , well she thought that's what the doctors said

Anyway I was still shocked, then 3 days later we were at the hospital and told us it was stage 3 cancer.

I am devastated and heartbroken, my mum is 72, I work on the helpline and it was too hard, especially comforting people who's mums have died, its triggering .  So going to call doctors tomorrow to take time off as I need to look after myself and be strong for my mum, work can sod off.
