Hi
just wondering if anyone can relate to not wanting treatment even though their cancer is not terminal, I don’t want to upset anyone because I realize some people will want treatment but their cancer is not treatable

Hi JackP,
A very warm welcome to our forum. This is a decision that only you can make, but plenty of others have done so beforehand. Have you looked at all possible options, before taking this decision and what has been the reason for you to choose this option? Only you know why you're considering this decision. This is fine, provided that you are not doing it solely out of fear. If you have looked carefully at your chances with and without treatment and understand why you have made this choice, then this is fine. You are the person who will have to live with your decision, so you have to know that you'll be happy with it.
Whatever you decide, I hope that it'll be the right choice for you. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine
Hi Jackp, obviously I don't know the circumstances that have led to your conclusion but I well understand your thinking. At 77 it seems that my prostate csncer is recurrent 4 years after ERT and hormone treatment. I also have extreme COPD, altho still pretty active, cycling at least 100 miles most weeks.
Other than hormone stuff I shall not accept treatment.
Quality not quantity is my motto.
YOUR choice, friend. Good luck.
