My Dad was diagnosed with Lung cancer, stage 4 in April this year. We still haven't been seen by an oncologist, we still haven't had the results of his biopsy explained to us, a Nurse just haphazardly told me the diagnosis over the phone. It has spread to his adrenal glands and his bones. Oncology appointment isn't until next month, we keep being told at that appointment treatment options will be discussed yet, in the meantime, I'm watching him deteriorate fast. He was on morphine but has been changed to Oxycodon and today injections rather than tablets and liquid was discussed as the pain is so bad. All this yet still no oncology. We're trying to make the most of the time we have left but I can't help feeling that we've been let down. It took from January until April to give us the results. In Feb we were told it was stage 1, two months later stage 4. Perhaps my anger is misplaced and unfair but it's how I feel.
