Unfortunately I would not know myself why this is happening and I can imagine it must have been rather distressing for you to witness this. Her medical team will be able to explain I am sure what this means and what it was so I would give them a call and see if they could clarify this for you.
I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have been affected by throat cancer or who have a loved one who has been diagnosed with throat cancer before and who also noticed something like this.
