I'm sorry to hear that you have a family member who is living with secondary lung cancer. It sounds like it's a difficult situation for all of you. 

It's difficult for anyone here to say if this is a "fast spreading" cancer. That would be a question that only your loved one's doctors might be able to answer, as there are so many different factors to take into consideration.
