What can I do?

My Dad will be 86 this year. 2 years ago he was diagnosed with CMML. But until January this year he hasn't had any treatment. 

In January Dad had a bone marrow test done. How long should the results take? They have been talking about Chemo for a while, but nothing has been done.

I had a heart to heart with Dad this week. He said he was feeling tired and in pain and that he feels worse every day.

He also said that he was told he could possibly have 2years and its been over 2 years now. I know he is scared, we all are. What can I do to help? Or is this normal? 

Part of me thinks hes been left because of his age. Can anyone give me some words of advise please

    I'm sorry to hear about your dad, and how he is feeling. Although it must have been very difficult to hear, it's good he can talk so openly to you about this. 

    I hope you hear back from some of our members who have/had CMML soon, but if you would like to talk any of this through with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to answer your questions and help you figure out what to do next.
