Terminal bone cancer

Hello, my best friend’s sister has terminal bone cancer, she’s about 50. What can I do to support my friend?

what is going to happen to her sister…. Please be honest….have a horrible feeling this is going to be a long slow and painful decline / death.

Help? Thanks

  • Hello StrawberrySquishy,

It's difficult to know for sure what's going to happen, as her doctors would have a better idea of this, but the best thing you can do is be there for your friend. I'm sure if their sister knew, she would be happy that you want to support your friend. You can do that in many ways, but the simplest way is to listen and be that anchor for your friend when they need it. We have some guidance for family, friends and carers on our website, which could be useful for both you and your friend. You also look at our bone cancer pages if you'd like to understand more.

    I hope this helps,
