Hi leelaloo, the bone cancer was diagnosed beginning of this year but before when first diagnosed was 9 years ago and I too had surgery chemo radiotherapy and then hormonal treatment for 9 years before this and they then gave me 19 months at the beginning of the year. From what they have said mine is in my spine ribs skull and liver and since first treatment not working its spread further to my liver. Hope this helps sweetie xxx
Hi Ursula, I am so sorry to hear of you diagnosis. What treatment have you had for the mets? Hope you are okay as this is such a difficult journey x
So sorry to hear about your journey. I am caring for my husband who has stage4 liver cancer, diagnosed in may and were told he could only have six months. He is going downhill fast and i’m so frightened. I totally understand how you are feeling - so many emotions, anger, sadness, disbelief. I feel like we’re on our own as well - not getting much support from the hospice. Do you have plenty of support? Have you been offered counselling? Sending love to you x
Hi leelaloo, I’m ok and just one day at a time. Firstly they put me on injections each month and tablets each day but I was in hospital more times than home with kidney failure amongst other things . Currently I’m now on paciltaxil as in 3 weeks on 1 week off indefinitely. I was told it’s palliative chemo.
how are you doing Leelaloo? How are you bearing up sweetie xxx
Good morning anxious-Annie, I’m not sure where you’re based but have st barnabus reached out to you? My heart squeezes for you at this time. It must be so hard on you. I do find tho most people who have been diagnosed come to terms faster than the loved ones . Please look into st barnabus if you are able sweetie. Sending lots of love xxx
Thank you so much for replying Ursula - it really does mean alot. I’m in Cardiff - not heard of St Barnabus - did try Marie Curie but no availability. We are both going for a counselling sessionat the hospice tomorrow which will do us both good being able to talk freely without worrying about upsetting each orher. Kind regards xx
I will be thinking of you both and hopefully all comes out that you both need to talk about. ️ xxx
Good morning Anxious- Annie hope your counselling went well. You have been in my thoughts since xxx
It was very good - nice to vent and cry without upsetting my hubby and i think it helped him too - thank you Ursula xx
How are YOU Ursula? Are you still having treatment? X
