Mum dying from bladder cancer - should I be concerned about the colour in mum's catheter bag?

Mum has a catheter bag for her water works but today it's very brown should ibe concerned as normally I did tell the district nurse its normally a bloody colour .

  • Hello Bellally,

I'm sorry to hear about your mother's situation with her catheter bag. It's understandable to be concerned, especially if you notice a significant change in colour.

If the catheter bag is very brown, it's essential to communicate this to the district nurse or your mother's healthcare provider as soon as possible as they can assess the situation and determine the appropriate course of action.

In the meantime, try to keep your mother comfortable and monitor her closely for any other symptoms or changes in her condition.

I hope this helps a little.

    Best wishes,
