Leptomeningeal Disease - Symptoms

Hi

My mum was diagnosed 4 weeks ago with leptomeningeal disease, 6 weeks ago she was a sprightly 81 year old woman sweeping up the leaves in my garden.

Now she is bed bound in a Nursing home, doesn't know where she is, extremely confused and can barely speak.

I have lost my mum but can't grieve as she is still physically here.  I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this evil disease and what else it is likely to through at my family??

thank you
