  • Hello Totallyteatotal

I'm so very sorry to hear that you're struggling so much at the moment. I know from some of the other posts that you've made recently that things have been difficult and that you've been struggling to get a firm diagnosis for the health problems that you've been living with.

I know that our nurses have previously replied to you in another post. Do give them a call if you want to talk things through with them. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040. Outside of those hours if you feel it may help to have a listening ear then the Samaritans are available 24/7.

I know that many of our members understand how difficult it can be to live with long-term health problems. It can take a real toll on your mental health as well as your physical health. I hope that you have support from the people around you. Do reach out to them for support.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi,

Sorry to be insensitive but have you had a cancer diagnosis?

The last post I read from you the diagnosis was long covid but you were worried it was cancer.

Maybe give the Samaritans a call if you are feeling so desperate and worried about you health.

    Best wishes

  • I had long covid, didn't didn't, complete run around then told me long covid was cancer, unbelievable I've seen 3 different dr's been 4 different hospitals all say different things,I need an endorsement colonoscopy biopsy, yet took weeks and weeks to get appt, sent for x-rays in stead by one Dr,all because of covid, can do this can't do that, it's just been a joke,I've decided to let nature take its course , enough is enough, you take care.

  • hello,

it seems you are in no mans land at present, and view this with some justification as a terrible place to be.Although black and white can be a great place to be,usually it can be because things have travelled so far down the road they are past the point of return.

Indeterminate can mean that problems are at the beginning, not showing classic signs and can be treated successfully when found,

Hang in there and hopefully as things become clear ,a successful treatment regime will follow,

take care and hopefully patience will have its reward,

                                                                                            David

  • I'm sorry you have had so many problems with diagnosis of cancer and covid. Try to take a moment. You need to speak to someone; your GP, Consultant, Specialist Nurse; someone who knows your diagnosis and can explain everything to you in a clear, concise manner. You need to find out about everything they have planned for your cancer treatment and what support is available for you. Please take someone with you when you speak to the hospital staff, someone who can take notes and ask maybe questions you haven't thought of. Get support from the medical team. I hope things are not to the stage that you have to give up on life just yet. Take care.
