My partner has recently been struggling the Edema . Swelling of the feet and adomen. His belly is like a beach ball . He is stage 4 oesophageal cancer . Is this one of the symptoms of end of life ??
I'm so sorry that your husband is in this position & also for yourself & the whole family. It is very distressing to see a loved one so poorly. I can only speak about my own experience with my husband, when he was in a similar position with a rare version of oesophageal cancer. Towards the end of his life, I would say the last three weeks, his feet, legs & abdomen started to swell with fluid. His abdomen was quite hard & then the edema started in his genital area about a week before he died, making it uncomfortable for him to pass urine. Every cancer is individual to that person & people show symptoms in various ways so please remember that this may not be the same for your husband. Once again I am so very sorry that this is happening to you & I wish you all the best. X
