Hello Kitty, so sorry for you, your partner and your partner's Mum. I nursed my mum when she was dying from cancer and I have also lost many friends and relatives to this disease. You mentioned that your partner's mum has not been to the toilet for over a day. I would say that your partner's mum is very near to the end Kitty, based on my experiences of seeing my own loved ones die from cancer. Everything is starting to shut down with your partner's mum, which is why she has not needed to go to the bathroom. No-one can ever give an exact prediction of when death will occur, but for your partner's mum, the time is very near. Please tell your partner that he needs to say all the things to his mother that he wishes to say while there is still time. I have always regretted not telling my dying mum how much I loved her. So sorry Kitty, but you and your partner deserve the truth, with no sugar-coating, I truly am sorry for what you are going through, I have been there, it is horrendous, Violet, x
Hi Kitty
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time
Sometimes it helps to give a loved one permission to go, tell them how much you love them and that it's okay for them to let go now
