Hannah I am so sorry mate, but it sounds like your Mum's time is near. The breathing of a person who is near to the end of their life can sound noisy and laboured........hold your Mum's hand and if there is anything you want to tell her, then say it now, you are both in my thoughs Hannah, and once again, I am so sorry, sending you love, Violet, xxx
My mum passed away a few months' ago. She had the 'rales', or death rattle. In my mum's case, it was very loud and continuous, even when she was sleeping. Apparently according to hospital staff, it causes no discomfort, but is upsetting to those around. I am sorry that you are both going through this. Hold your mum's hand and talk to her about the times you spent together and the memories those times created x
