I am 24 years of age and was diagnosed with a rare Cancer in June 2021. It is called Sarcoma and was found in my left breast, sarcoma attaches it self to tissue opposed to the actual breast itself. I had a mastectomy, breast reduction in right breast and a DIEP reconstruction in August where the cancer grew to 7cm big. They were not sure if they wanted to offer me radiotherapy but after seeing the size after it was removed they thought it was best. My reservations about radiotherapy is my age and the negative health complications that could come after if I opt in to have radiotherapy, such as heart, lung problems, or developing ANOTHER cancer later on in life. Or even possibly the cancer still returning after the whole process. To me these are all huge cons but really don't want to make the wrong decision which could mean a extremely bad outcome for me, God forbid. Does anyone have an advice or stories they could share with me please?
