Lymph node cancer

Hi, bit of background history, I was diagnosed with a cortid tumor in my left artery in my neck, I went into hospital in July to have the tumor removed, there was a few complications!

While removing the tumor, one of my lymph nodes was in the way so they also removed that, I went for my check up 4 MONTHS later in November last month, thinking everything was going to be OK as its been so long since I had my had, op, to be told I had lymph node cancer, they admitted they messed up, the results came back in August but it never flagged up on the system, so they say. I've had loads of scans rushed through and meetings, they have decided to open my neck up again in 3 weeks time to remove all my lymph nodes in my neck to prevent spreading.

My question is, as anybody had this operation done on this forum? How poorly was you? What was the recovery time? When i had my tumor removed, I was so poorly for 2 months. Am 32 with a 3 year old. It would be nice to talk to someone with the same diagnoses.

Thank you so much.
