I think I have posted this before, I can't remember. But I don't mean to make a fuss, but I simply want to inform people with my cancer type.
if you have been diagnosed with a Fibromyxoid sarcoma, do not be scared to find it isn't on any of the cancer pages,
under the list of soft tissue sarcomas. Your diagnosis like mine, has rare in the name.
but do not worry, your not alone, I am 16 and have been diagnosed with it. Someone who lived literally 20 houses down my road got the same diagnosis just at 67 years old. So how ironic. To the point, if the diagnosis wasn't scary enough, you've now found on further self research that your cancer isn't on the list of soft tissue sarcomas. But do not fear.
it isn't rare enough that your good doctors don't know how to treat you safely. It isn't rare enough that they cannot tell you about it. It isn't rare enough that you'll not get treated. It's common enough that you will get the proper treatment, you will be given the right facts. As much as I cannot guarantee you will be 100% okay, as I don't know your case and I'm no doctor, I am hoping that by you reading this with my diagnosis or another rare diagnosis, you'll know your not alone, you'll know not to fear as you are in good hands. I am hoping that this message will encourage you to look at the positives, I mean on my diagnosis I made jokes, to cheer up the nurses as they prior to my appointment lost a patient they were close to from a type of bone cancer.
so please, don't be scared to see it's not on the list. Sorry also if you thought this was going another way, I'm not that good at titles. But please don't be scared. I am here for you and so is everyone on this website.
stay strong, stay smiling. Zaky.T
