I've bought him 90% thc oil and I was also wondering if anybody has had positive results with this? Any advice please

  • Hello Jessy4321,

Welcome to Cancer Chat! I am really sorry to hear about your brother being diagnosed with incurable cancer at such a young age. I think the best thing for you to do right now is to wait for the results of the biopsy and see what the specialists say and what options your brother has and whether they are able to offer treatment. They will be in the best position to advise you on this.

It must be so hard for you and I can totally understand why you are feeling devastated. I am not sure who recommended THC oil to you or how you managed to purchase it as unlike CBD oil, it is not readily available to purchase in the UK but I just wanted to let you know that as with every complimentary or alternative therapy it is extremely important that you inform your brother's medical team. If you haven't mentioned anything to them about this yet then we would recommend you doing so when you next see them as taking this may interefere with any conventional treatment and possibly carry other side effects and risks as well.

Although there’s emerging evidence that molecules found in cannabis may one day be used to help people with cancer, we would advise against using black market or home-made preparations of cannabis oil. Not only is it illegal, but because it’s unregulated these products may be contaminated with harmful substances and vary in strength which again may impact on treatment already being given by your brother's medical team. We have a very interesting article on our science blog about cannabis, cannabinoids and cancer just here if you'd like to find out more.

    I hope this helps!

Best wishes to you and your little brother,

    Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
