Hi, 26 years old and had a full resection on a grade 2 astrocytoma, just looking for anyone in a similar boat ? It was none symptomatic and caught by chance as I had a head scan for something totally different, it was thought to be a dysplastic lesion or a grade 1 astrocytoma but turned out to be a 2 to my surgeon supprise , as it was sat just on top of my brain close to the skull in the right frontal lobe , had a 6 month all clear MRI and back in a year (may time) had surgery around October 2018 , my surgeon was very confident he got everything and explained he took extra brain tissue to be sure, I've had no chemo or radio and there is no plan to do so anytime soon! Very well now and feel totally fit!
